Significance-
I chose this book, because when I read the blurb, I thought that this book was going to be filled with values and adventure. This book is valuable, because it shows a mother's true love for her child. It shows how much a mother is willing to risk and give in to save her child and her family. This piece is worth caring for, because it helps children appriciate their parents much more. This book teaches us the true meaning of herosim, family, courage, determination, strength, love, and family.
Perspective-
After reading this book, I would want readers to walk away with more appriciation for their family, especially their parents. I would want readers to think of Mrs. Frisby's sacrfices as like the sacrifices that their parents have do for them.
My personal thoughts didnt really affect my enterpretation of this piece. This piece was basically based on adventure, and mothers doing everything they can for their children. Since I havent really had any adventures in my life, and since I am obviously not a mother, I wouldnt really have any idea on what mothers go through. Therefore, I never really had any personal thoughts regarding this matter. However, now that I have read the book, I know have any idea of what mothers go through.
Evidence-
I think that argument thats being made is that if you really love someone, you'll do anything and everything for that person, and you'll try your hardest to make the impossible happen, just like in Mrs. Frisby's case. If you think about, the situation that Mrs. Frisby was in seemed like a hopeless case.
Mrs. Frisby is a widowed mom with several children, and they are in a life and death situation. She and her family must move into the meadows, out of the garden before Mr. Fitzgibbon's tractor comes rumbling through. Plus, Mrs. Frisby's son Timothy, is struggling through pneumonia, making it hard for them to move if the tractor comes too early. Being a family of helpless field mice, Mrs. Frisby found it hard to fight through the situation.
However, instead of Mrs. Frisby sitting at her home, grieving about her situation, she worked hard to find a way to save her family. She struggled, she strived, and she succeeded.
I know this is fact, not opinion, because the book had always been about doing something for a loved one. Its always been about Mrs. Frisby thinking of what's best for her family. There was never a time where Mrs. Frisby thought about herself. She dedicated everything she did to her family.
Connection-
This relates to the real world, because anyone would do anything for their loved ones, just like Mrs. Frisby did. They'd do everything to save and to get nothing but the best for their families. Also, just like Mrs. Frisby's deeds revealed her genuine love for her family, the same thing happens to us when we do good deeds for our family. For every good action that we show and do for the important people in our lives, it shows how much love and care we have for them.
Supposition-
If I hadnt read this book, I probably wouldnt appriciate my parents the way that I do now. This book had broadened my mind, and made me appriciate every little good deed/action that my parents show and do.

Missing May by Cynthia Rylant
Signifcance-
I chose this book, because when I read the blurb, to me it seemed like a touching story, just like the previous books that I have read: I have always enjoyed these type of books. This piece is valuable, because it puts you into the shoes of people who have just lost a loved one. This piece/these events are worth caring for, because it shows you that no matter how hard life gets, there's still always a reason for livng. This books gives us hope to carry on, and it teaches us that even if a loved one has already passed, they will still always be by our side, watching over us.
Perspective-
After reading this book, I would want other readers to walk away with hope, and possibly a new reason for living. I would want the readers to use the lessons that they have learned in this book and apply it to their own, personal lives.
My personal thoughts didn't really affect my enterpretation of this piece, because I have never really given any thought on this kind of stuff. But since I read the book, I now know what my personal beliefs are regarding this matter.
Evidence-
I think the arugement that's being made is that just because someone has already passed, it doesn't mean that they're forever gone in our lives. They are still alive in many little ways. It's just that in Ob and Summer's case, they chose to grieve about everything, instead of thinking about those little things that make May still alive. But once Cletus, a friend of Summer's, came and talked to Ob and Summer about a person that can help them "contact" May's spirit, they began to hope, and step by step they began living their lives again.
I know this is fact, not opinion, because at several occasions in the book, the author kept on mentioning little things that had to do with May. The author continuously tried to show May's spirit through little things, like the wind, and things that are significant to the 3 of them(Ob, Summer, and May.) At the end, each little thing somewhat how led them back to May, and May, back to them.
Connection-
This connects to the real world, because there are many people in this world, like Ob and Summer, who stop living their lives, because a loved one was lost; they begin to lose hope on everything. But as help comes along, they begin to put themselves back together, one step at a time, until they begin to have faith and hope once again. They get "renewed" personalities, and their lives are in a way, back to normal again, and it's because they chose to accept the help that came their way.
Supposition-
If I hadn't read this book, I still would probably have the same enterpretation as everyone else; that once a person is gone, that person is gone forever, and there will be no reason for living.
Due the fact that Ob and Summer have moved on, I think that they will continue on with their lives as strong individuals with the spirit of May along with them, prepared for whatever may come their way.

Sacred Journey of the Peaceful Warrior- Dan Millman
Significance
This book is significant for the same reasons as the other book, Way of the Peaceful Warrior. It is also significant, because of the purpose of the book. Dan Millman wanted to reach out into peoples' lives, share them his experiences, and help "lost" people find their way back as well. A person would want to read this book, because he/she may be the typical person that Dan Millman was: He/She may be searching for something in life and this book might just help that person begin their quest, for it has everything that you need to know to start with. I guess you can say that his experiences will lead and prepare you for where you need to be, and for what you are expecting to find.
Perspective
I think the author's experience affected this book greatly. Due to his life changing experiences, he was able to create a book and connect with other people. His interpretation affected the book as well, because his interpretation in life, on the beginning of the 2 books is the typical interpretation that most people would have. Therefore, it affected the book, because it is something that the readers would be able to relate to in a myriad of ways.
Evidence
Although it's a novel type of book, I believe that the information in this book is somewhat how factual , because it is presenting lessons that appear at some of the turning points in our lives, and also because of the fact that the most significant/important parts in this book are based on the author's life and experiences.
Connection
This book applies to my own, personal life, because like everyone else, I, too, am in search for something in life. At a young age, I am already applying the lessons that Dan Millman learned to my own life. One of them is using your imagination to take you anywhere. I learned that in life, as long as you are determined, as long as you keep your faith within yourself, your imagination can take you to a whole new world: To a place where you can find peace, joy, and happiness- a place where you would want to be.
Supposition
The world would be completely different if none of these lessons existed. Everything would just revolve around the same things, and people wouldn't really have great common sense, individuality, and faith, which would, in my opinion, make everything useless and pointless. Therefore, people need to realize why these lessons and interpretations need to exist, because without it, life wouldn't be as significant as it is.

Way of the Peaceful Warrior- Dan Millman
Significance-
Way of the Peaceful Warrior is a significant book due to the life experiences that the author had. Dan Millman, if you think about it, already has everything: He is a professional, well known athlete, he is a bright, college student, attending an Ivy League university. Other people would think that he has it all.
However, that wasn't how Dan Millman felt. Though he had all the good characteristics, along with the best opportunities and experiences, he still had the feeling that he wasn't happy and that something was still missing from his life.
All of this slowly began to change when he met Socrates, who became his mentor in life. This book teaches us that material things can not buy our happiness. It teaches us that finding our happiness in our lives consist a long, harsh journey. Way of the Peaceful Warrior is a book about guiding you through your journey to happiness, and helping you find your inner self.
Perspective-
This novel was written by Dan Millman. It was told from the perspectives of Dan Millman and Socrates. (mainly Socrates though ). Both have very interesting experiences in life. However, there is quite a difference between both. Socrates, a wise old man, had already found peace and happiness in life. During the novel, it was mostly Socrates who was talking, and pointing out different perspectives of life, while giving Dan Millman more knowledge, and of course, the opportunity to seek his own peace and happiness.
Evidence-
Dan Millman's struggle to seek his inner self, along with his own peace and happiness in life leads him to an unknown disappointment, and along with that disappointment is a haunted feeling that he often got. With late night talks with Socrates, he wished that he could be able to understand Socrates. As time passed by, Dan slowly began to understand everything that Socrates had thought him, bringing him to his most powerful success.
Connections-
This book relates to the real world, because like I've been trying to explain, there are a lot of people who are seeking peace and happiness in their lives. In my opinion, this book has been influenced by the past, mainly because the seek for happiness is something that started in the past, and I guess you can say, something that has never ended, and never really will. This book affects the future, because it is a book that will help guide you through your journey to happiness, if you ever decide to go on that journey.
Suppositon-
If i changed part of the book, I think that the whole book would be quite useless, due to the fact that each and every sentence in this book has a great significance. For that matter, I think that the book can not afford to be changed one bit, when it comes to the true matters of the book.
