Significance
This book is significant for the same reasons as the other book, Way of the Peaceful Warrior. It is also significant, because of the purpose of the book. Dan Millman wanted to reach out into peoples' lives, share them his experiences, and help "lost" people find their way back as well. A person would want to read this book, because he/she may be the typical person that Dan Millman was: He/She may be searching for something in life and this book might just help that person begin their quest, for it has everything that you need to know to start with. I guess you can say that his experiences will lead and prepare you for where you need to be, and for what you are expecting to find.
Perspective
I think the author's experience affected this book greatly. Due to his life changing experiences, he was able to create a book and connect with other people. His interpretation affected the book as well, because his interpretation in life, on the beginning of the 2 books is the typical interpretation that most people would have. Therefore, it affected the book, because it is something that the readers would be able to relate to in a myriad of ways.
Evidence
Although it's a novel type of book, I believe that the information in this book is somewhat how factual , because it is presenting lessons that appear at some of the turning points in our lives, and also because of the fact that the most significant/important parts in this book are based on the author's life and experiences.
Connection
This book applies to my own, personal life, because like everyone else, I, too, am in search for something in life. At a young age, I am already applying the lessons that Dan Millman learned to my own life. One of them is using your imagination to take you anywhere. I learned that in life, as long as you are determined, as long as you keep your faith within yourself, your imagination can take you to a whole new world: To a place where you can find peace, joy, and happiness- a place where you would want to be.
Supposition
The world would be completely different if none of these lessons existed. Everything would just revolve around the same things, and people wouldn't really have great common sense, individuality, and faith, which would, in my opinion, make everything useless and pointless. Therefore, people need to realize why these lessons and interpretations need to exist, because without it, life wouldn't be as significant as it is.
